For Educators

Your advice and counsel is critical to students. You know your students best and this website is designed so that you know what our industry is looking for will think of our industry  for anyone who demonstrates the follow attributes:

  • internal motivation and competitiveness
  • dynamic problem solving
  • collaborative teamwork

We especially encourage you to refer students who also have the following skills:

  • affinity to math, science, or practical technologies
  • ability to learn by seeing and doing
  • superior communication skills

Do these skills and attributes make you think of you honors students, your varsity athletes, or someone who you tutor after school? 

It doesn't matter, the construction industry has something for everybody.  We offer pathways to immediate careers or education to develop future managers and leaders. From construction management degree programs at world renowned universities to apprenticeship programs and trade schools, the opportunities in construction are plentiful and varied.

The AGC MA Building Advancement Externship offers a unique professional development opportunity connecting educators directly to the construction industry. This program provides experiential learning led by many cutting-edge commercial construction professionals.

The externship was been designed to offer a background on the business of commercial construction, an overview of field training and safety programs, and information on project management and industry innovations.
